日本人建築家、篠原一男の作品集。『STREET WITH HUMAN SHADOW 通りと人影』、『STREET WITH HUMAN / SELECTED WORKS 通りと人影 / 作品選』の二冊セット。前者は世界各地で撮影された街並みや人々の写真が収録されている。1970年代、1980年代にかけてヨーロッパ、アフリカおよび南北アメリカを巡った旅で撮られた1万点に及ぶ写真アーカイヴのなかから選ばれている。後者は代表作である「から傘の家」、「土間の家」などの建築作品の写真、図面、また作者自身によるテキストが収録されている。

収録された文章は、2004年11月6日に開催されたシンポジウム「都市と建築: 通りと人影」での講演を基にしている。

The original of the text featured in this book is based on the lecture in the Symposium "City and Architecture: Street with Human Shadows” on November 6, 2004.

Selection of all the images is made of the author's personal archive with over 10,000 photos during his trips to the cities in Europe, Africa and South & North America in the 1970s and 80s.
