フランス人建築家でありデザイナーのシャルロット・ペリアン（Charlotte Perriand）の作品集。2025年11月から2026年3月にかけてドイツ、クレーフェルトの美術館「Kunstmuseen Krefeld」、2026年5月から9月にかけてオーストリアの「ザルツブルク近代美術館（Museum der Moderne Salzburg）」、2026年10月から2027年2月にかけてバルセロナの「ミロ美術館（ジョアン・ミロ財団現代美術研究センター / Fundació Joan Miró）」で開催された展覧会に伴い刊行された。

モダンデザインの中心的存在のひとりである作者を取り上げ、その実践が現代において持ち続ける意義をあらためて見直す。作者はデザインを文化的かつ社会的な営みとして捉え、建築や工芸、工業生産と関わりながら、機能性、形態の明快さ、社会的責任を結びつける空間の思想をかたちにしていった。作者にとって「住まうこと / 住居（dwelling）」は様式ではなく、態度そのものであった。

約20年ぶりに刊行されるモノグラフとなる本書は、家具、インテリア、建築プロジェクトに関する図版を豊富に収録し、持続可能性やモダニズムの社会的側面に新たな視点を提示する。

ル・コルビュジエ（Le Corbusier）との協働や1920年代のチューブラースチール家具に始まり、実験的な住居構想を展開したアルプスのスキーリゾート「レ・ザルク（Les Arcs）」（1967年）に至るまで、その制作の流れを辿る。アーカイブ資料や歴史的写真、再現されたインテリアを通して、デザイン思想の全体像が明らかにされる。
