ベルリンを拠点に活動する日本人アーティスト、塩田千春の作品集。2024年12月から2025年3月にかけてフランス、パリの「グラン・パレ（Grand Palais）」で開催された展覧会「魂がふるえる（The Soul Trembles）」に伴い刊行された。同展覧会は、作者にとって過去最大規模の展覧会として2019年6月から10月に「森美術館」で初開催されて以来、アジア諸国やオーストラリアを巡回した展覧会の一環である。

ドローイング、彫刻、インスタレーションなど、その作品の深みや幅の広さにおいては他の追随を許さぬほどの展開を繰り広げ、無二の魅力を生み出してきた作者の活動を記録したモノグラフである。

回顧的な意味合いで作られただけでなく、本作は他に類を見ない存在である作者の日常生活や作品を包括的に辿ることのできる「旅」のような役割を果たし、広く称えられ我々を魅了してきた没入型のインスタレーション作品や空間の貴重な舞台裏をも垣間見せてくれる。豊富な図版、密なインタビュー、洞察に満ちたエッセイをもって、その傑作の背後にある大胆な実践と徹底的な批評的思考を探る一冊である。

数年にわたる改装工事ののち2025年6月に全ギャラリースペースが再開する「グラン・パレ」。それに先立ち、再開記念の一環として開催された作者の展覧会に伴い本書は刊行されたが、あわせて、版元である「SKIRA」、「Chargeurs Museum Studio」および「Grand Palais Immersif」との間で結ばれた新たなパートナーシップのもと作られたことも注目すべき点である。
