イギリス人アーティスト、サラ・ルーカス（Sarah Lucas）の作品集。2018年9月にニューヨークの「ニュー・ミュージアム（New Museum）」が企画し、2019年にロサンゼルスの「ハマー・ミュージアム（Hammer Museum）」で開催された巡回展覧会に伴い刊行された。作者にとって米国で初の大規模回顧展であるこの展覧会では、家庭用家具を人体の一部に置き換えた初期の彫刻や、タブロイド誌をコラージュした作品から新しい彫刻まで、130点以上の作品が展示された。

1980年代後半に、「ヤング・ブリティッシュ・アーティスト（Young British Artists / YBA）」と呼ばれるアーティスト集団のトレイシー・エミン（Tracey Emin）やダミアン・ハースト（Damian Hirst）らと共に英国アートシーンに登場した作者は、皮肉に富んだ彫刻で一躍有名になった。しばしばファウンド・オブジェクトを使用する作者は、ジェンダー、セクシュアリティ、アイデンティティの概念を覆す作品で、鑑賞者を挑発する。

本書は、アメリカ人作家、マギー・ネルソン（Maggie Nelson）やアメリカ人美術史家、リンダ・ノックリン（Linda Nochlin）などが書き下ろしたエッセイ8点や、作者とのインタビューを収録。過去30年にわたる作者の彫刻、写真、インスタレーション作品と、その幅広さと複雑さが明らかになっている。
