インド出身のイギリス人現代彫刻家、アニッシュ・カプーア（Anish Kapoor）の作品集。2026年6月から10月にかけてロンドンの「サウスバンク・センター（Southbank Center）」内「ヘイワード・ギャラリー（Hayward Gallery）」で開催された展覧会に伴い刊行された。

作者は、感覚的な没入感と知的な刺激をもたらす作品によって、世界的に高く評価されている。大胆な実験を重ねながら、幅広い素材を扱う独自の制作方法を発展させ、空間に対する認識を揺さぶり、変化させる彫刻や絵画を制作してきた。

本書には、著名な精神分析家・哲学者であるジュリア・クリステヴァ（Julia Kristeva）、美術史家のナンシー・スペクター（Nancy Spector）とサンドヒニ・ポダー（Sandhini Poddar）による論考に加え、同ギャラリー館長ラルフ・ルゴフ（Ralph Rugoff）との詳細なインタビューを収録。過去50年間で制作された作品から主要作を取り上げ、彫刻と絵画における、強烈な身体感覚を特徴とするアプローチの展開をたどる。また、同展のインスタレーション風景も収録している。

Anish Kapoor is celebrated worldwide for creating art that is both sensorially immersive and intellectually provocative. Through bold experimentation, he has developed innovative ways of working with a wide range of materials, producing sculptures and paintings that challenge and transform our perception of space.

This book brings together essays by the renowned psychoanalyst and philosopher Julia Kristeva and art historians Nancy Spector and Sandhini Poddar, alongside an extensive interview with Ralph Rugoff, Director of the Hayward Gallery. Focusing on a key selection of Kapoor’s work from the past five decades, it traces the evolution of his strikingly visceral approach to sculpture and painting. The volume also includes installation photographs from the artist’s 2026 exhibition at the Hayward Gallery.
