アメリカ人アーティスト、ソル・ルウィット（Sol LeWitt）の作品集。本書は、作者が制作した作品25点の組み合わせをチャート化したものである。正方形、三角形、長方形、台形、平行四辺形を象った二次元の図形を木材で三次元にした際のイメージで構成されている。1から5までのグループに分け、5つの個々のフォルムを非連続的に並べたときの、複数の順列の可能性を考察している。イギリスの美術館「TATE」所蔵が所蔵する本作に関するテキストでも詳細が読めるようになっている。

This artist's publication charts 25 possible combinations of LeWitt’s work, Five Open Geometric Structures (1979), which are constructed from sections of wood in three-dimensional extrapolations of the two-dimensional figures of a square, a triangle, a rectangle, a trapezoid and a parallelogram. In groups numbering 1 to 5, this book looks at multiple possible permutations of the five individual forms when presented together in non-sequential rows, resulting in a progression of relationships and juxtapositions that create an ordering system for the work.
