南アフリカ人アーティスト、ウィリアム・ ケントリッジ （William Kentridge）の作品集。2024年6月から2025年1月にかけて、フランスの文化複合施設「リュマ・アルル（LUMA Arles）」内にある「ラ・メカニック・ジェネラル（La Mécanique Générale）」で開催された展覧会に伴い刊行された。本展は、2024年7月に「リュマ・アルル」にて世界初公演を行った新作室内オペラ「The Great Yes, The Great No」にあわせて展開されたものである。

展覧会は作者の主要作品を何作か紹介しており、中にはヨーロッパ初公開作も含まれる。本書は、「リュマ・アルル」で展開された2つの企画を目撃することで、一貫して移民問題、民族の抑圧、歴史の継承、そして不当に制圧される社会における芸術家の役割というものに焦点を当ててきた作者による、実験的かつパフォーマティブな無二の作品群を照らし出す一冊である。

The exhibition "Je n'attends plus" presents an ensemble of William Kentridge's major works, some of which have never been shown in Europe before. It was presented in conjunction with his new chamber opera, "The Great Yes, The Great No," which had its world premiere at LUMA Arles in July. This catalogue bears witness to both events to illuminate a remarkable body of experimental and performative work by an artist whose focus has consistently been on migration, the oppression of peoples, the transmission of history and the role of the artist in a society under duress.
